Bridging the North Sea’ Interpretation Plan

In order to develop an Awareness-raising Program including public outreach, exhibitions in *museums and leading towards local projects in several regions.

(*Museums to be involved: Musée Chateau, Boulogne-sur-Mer, the Roman Archaeological Museum Oudenburg, the Provincial Archaeological Centre of Velzeke, National Landscape Discovery Centre the Sill near Hadrian’s Wall, the Archaeological Museum of Aardenburg, Musée Flandres in Cassel, The Maidstone Museum in Kent, the National Museum of Antiquities in Leiden and the Museumpark Archeon, Alphen aan den Rijn)

Realization of these local projects relate to the themes mentioned in the Research Program:

(A) Sea-/waterways;

(B) Material culture studies;

(C) Beach Archaeology;

(D) Coastal community building with the sea and rivers.
